Detail
The locking wire thread insert is a new type based on the ordinary thread insert, with one or several locking rings added. The middle part of the locking thread insert has 1 to 2 circles of pentagons or hexagons. When the bolt is screwed into the threaded hole halfway, the bolt head encounters the locking ring. Then, by applying force with a tool to screw it in, the bolt expands the hexagon of the thread insert. Next, the hexagonal coil gets stuck in the pitch diameter part of the bolt, playing a locking role. Practice has proved that the locking thread insert has more superior locking performance and higher strength than some other common locking devices, and it can also be disassembled repeatedly.
When the screw is screwed into the threaded hole of the locking wire thread insert, it is loose before entering the polygonal locking ring. When the screw enters the polygonal locking ring, the polygon needs to be expanded to deform the locking edge. At this time, the screw needs to overcome the friction force given by the locking edge to the screw. After the screw is tightened, this friction force can prevent the screw from loosening by itself, thereby replacing other locking methods.

- produced from precision profiled austenitic stainless steel wire wound into a helical spiral
- spring like appearance
- for high strength and long-lasting internal threads
- higher temperature and corrosion resistance
- higher load capacity after the repair by better thread properties
- additional security of prevailing locking torque
- can generally be incorporated into existing designs where no previous provision has been made
- position is maintained by the action of radial pressure between their coils and the flanks of the tapped hole
